Sand FiltersThese are the easiest to use and understand as well as the most common. Pool water gets sucked into the filter and pressed through a sand block. The sand is instrumental in filtering any particles out. Once the water passes through this filter it flows back into the pool. It’s relatively inexpensive to replace the sand if it becomes too dirty. However, this type of filter uses more water because of the repeated backwashing process. As well, it allows some of the particles to pass through. |

Cartridge FiltersWavetechs pool filter service also covers cartridge filters. These clean your pool water by filtering it through a material. We like to suggest this option for saltwater pools. There’s no backwashing required and cartridge filters are much more efficient than their sand counterparts. |
